When and where were you born?
Brother Chaney was born in Dooly County, Unadilla, Georgia on the 25th of May 1952.
What is your spouse’s name and how long have you been married?
His spouse’s name is Mildred Chaney and they celebrated 46 years of marriage in 2021.
Do you have children? If yes, how many and their names?
Carl and Mildred have one daughter: Carranna Y. Chaney
What are your hobbies/interests?
His hobbies and interests are walking, exercising, and weight lifting
Tell us briefly about your career including activities at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church.
His Career: Graduated in 1970 in Vienna, Georgia; attended Vocation School in Americus, Georgia from 1971-1973, received. Certificate in Drafting; joined and served in the US Air Force 1973 thru 1993 (20yrs) as a Weapons Technician. After discharge from service attended the Middle Georgia. Technical School and received 2-year Certificate in Maintenance Technology; and worked at Robins AFB in Electronics for 16 years. He became a Fellowship “Shipmate” in 1993 and served with his family. He also served as an Usher for many years, and was a member of the Male Choir. Presently, working with the FBBC Food Bank.
How has your career molded you as a person?
Being able to see other countries and really appreciate being in a free nation to worship anywhere at anytime.
What are the most important lessons you have learned in life?
Treat People like you want to be treated, respect authority and love one another.
What is your “special” Scripture? Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
