Protecting God’s Creation

April 3, 2016

Our environment is changing and we all need to be aware of what is going on around us. Earth Day is a holiday that is celebrated world-wide to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Global Warming and pollution are not just things of the past, but have an impact on the future. In some areas around the world, there has been a big increase in climate change. This is not only life threating, but it is also difficult for farmers who are trying to stay on top of things when it comes to supply and demand. We cannot control the climate and the changes that come with it. On the other hand, we can do our part when it comes to decreasing the amount of pollution in our environment. Earth Day is the perfect time for all of us to make a difference. Plant a tree to help increase oxygen in the air and to provide a way for our bodies to cool down. Pick up trash off the ground in our neighborhoods and surrounding areas. Do not throw trash in our oceans, lakes, and rivers which will only pollute our environment and destroy the fish and other animals for no reason. Earth Day is a holiday that literally reminds us to do our part to help make this world a better place to live in. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” God did not create the earth just so we could destroy it. There is no better time than now to make a difference and no better planet than Earth.
