Honoring Our Fathers

May 31, 2016

Father’s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and cele-brating fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society. Fathers are strong physically, mentally and collectively and were created in the image of God. By God’s standards, anyone who is a father should first be a husband. 1 Corinthians 7:1-5 gives men guidance on how husbands should conduct themselves. One must love, honor, nourish and cherish his wife in every aspect of her life. God has placed upon the shoulders of fathers the incredible responsi-bility of taking care of his entire family as he leads and guides his household in a godly man-ner. Fathers are led by God to raise and bring up their children in the way of the Lord. Proverb 22:6 says “train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Every father should want noth-ing but the best for his family and must set good examples before them at home, church and everywhere they are togeth-er as a family. We are to always keep our wonderful fathers all over the world lifted up in prayer so that our world will stay strong and live by the principles that God has given to all of our fa-thers. Likewise, our fathers should always be a good prayer warrior leaning and depending on God for everything and not by his own understanding but seeking God for everything. I am so honored to say that because of God, we have some awesome fathers in this world who are being great leaders for us all. We salute, honor and respect you all. “Happy Father’s Day” to all fathers around the world! God bless you.
