God has truly poured out His many blessings on FBBC. To recapture some of the highlights in 2016, we will begin with our powerful “Sole to Soul” Event. On March 26, 2016 the Evangelism Ministry went to the T.J. Calhoun Holmes to witness to lost souls. We wore our ‘Being Saved is Cool, Going to Hell Not Cool’ t-shirts.
During the month of April, the Women’s Fellowship Ministry had an awesome “Ladies Day Out” to the Mall of Georgia in Buford, GA. In May, we celebrated our founders the late Dr. Willie L. Reid Sr. and Mother Gloria Reid and the mothers of FBBC were treated like queens during a special Mother’s Day breakfast.
The month of June was a time to honor all of our fathers for Father’s Day and on June 16-19 the men at FBBC attended the “IAmMan Conference.” In August, the women of FBBC and from surrounding churches attended the outstanding “Women of Worth“ Conference.
As we head into October, the FBBC family is gearing up for Victory Sunday which will be held on Sunday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. in the Faith Dome. All Christian Enrichment classes and/or Small Group Ministries are invited to participate in the tailgate activities. Tailgating will begin at 8:00 a.m. and resume immediately after worship service.
There will be water slides, horse rides, train rides and lots of food to enjoy. An award will be given to the Class/Group and individual with the most spirit.
This year there will also be a “Taste of Fellowship Food Festival” cook-off contest. The categories that will be judged are: meat, vegetable, or dessert. A tent will be setup for you to register your item and you must register it by 12:45 p.m. 1st place trophies will be awarded in each category.
So make plans to be at “The Ship” to experience plenty of food, fun and fellowship!
