Turning Dreams into Reality
As a child, I can remember having visions and dreams about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote poems, songs, and various things that I felt would enable me to enter into the entertainment world. My parents the late Mr. & Mrs. Harrison Simpson were role models to our family and always encouraged us to get a good education because that is something no one could take away from you. There was no doubt in my mind when it came to getting a good education, I knew this was something that I needed in life if I wanted to make it in this world. I did graduate from college with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I was blessed to have a teaching job waiting for me before I even graduated. I enjoyed teaching school and making a difference in the lives of so many children. However, I still had that strong desire to write more and more and would find myself writing something just about every day .It soon became rooted in me and I knew I had to do something about it. So I continued to write poems and songs and eventually would write prayers for church. I was later asked to write the class song for my youngest sister’s graduation in which she was the valedictorian of her class. I feel like this was the highlight of my writing and motivated me to branch out and write plays in which I presented some of them at school when I first started teaching. I later became the Theatrical Ministry leader at FBBC and presented some of the plays that I wrote and produced. I am also a writer for the awesome magazine The Navigator. In 2017, God blessed me to write and present my first film “Eternity” which was nominated for a People’s Choice Award at the Kingdomwood Film Festival in Buckhead, Atlanta Ga. We serve a Mighty God who can open doors and blow your mind if you have the faith and believe that He can do anything. I have also written a children’s book “The Land of Can Do” which was published December 2018. CEC Production is truly a dream come true for me and I am so grateful to God for all He has done for my business. More productions will be coming up in the near future and I will keep everyone updated when that time comes. I am a living witness that God can do anything if you do your homework and believe!
