Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women and the most commonly diagnosed cancer among black women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point.
Summer has faded into the distance and Friday night lights have taken hold in every hamlet, big and small, in Middle Georgia. The months of 2018 are falling away like the colors of the leaves.
In 1993 Walter Hawkins released a gospel album titled “Love Alive III.” One of the hit tunes from the album was the praise song, “When the Battle is over.” The unforgettable chorus of the song is, “Don’t wait till the battle is over to shout now; you know in the end, you’re gonna win.”
