Seasoned Saint Spotlight – Mary Harris

July 1, 2018

This month we salute Sister Mary Harris as the “Seasoned Saint” for the Month of July 2018. Mrs. Mary Harris was born on January 7, 1941 in Charlotte, Virginia. She is a widow and has four children: Brenda, Jakki, Lloyd, and Mona.

Mary served for 29 years in the federal government in the logistics and environmental fields. In 2008 she retired as an Environmental Supervisor. Employment with the federal government afforded her the opportunity to serve in several states and European countries.

Mrs. Harris became a member of Fellowship in 2007 where she participated in Christian Enrichment, Women’s Fellowship, The Culinary Ministry and the FBBC Senior Ministry (The Trailblazers) – Ministry Leader.

Sister Harris proclaimed: “If you look for the best in people you’ll always find something good.” When asked how she would like to be remembered; her response: “I would love to be remembered as a person who loves God, family and all people and one who loves to serve others.”
To Generations X, Y, & Z she says; “look for God’s answer in every situation because it’s there.” Our Seasoned Saint Mary Harris’ favorite Scripture is: Proverbs 3:6 -In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.
