The Cancer Support Group at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church provides a setting where patients can talk about living with cancer with others who are living similar experiences. Under the leadership of Teresa Thomas, this support group is truly a blessing from God and each person who joins this group is ministered to in such a warm and pleasant way. It doesn’t matter what type of cancer a patient is battling with, the support is still the same for each and every person who attends this cancer support group.
No one is forced to discuss what they are going through at the group meetings and the information that they do decide to share is strictly confidential. This is a time to learn how to cope with cancer and to know that you are not alone as you go through this journey. Cancer support groups are designed to give support and to provide important information that will be beneficial and encouraging to all cancer patients. This is a very difficult time for not only the person who has cancer, but for their families and friends as well.
The Cancer Support Group at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church encourages anyone who is going through cancer to join this group. The group meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Genesis Center Room 101
